Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder
The Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder -or Our Lord in the Attic Church- is a Catholic Church that was literally hidden in the attic of a house. During the Reformation, Catholics are denied the right to worship. In 1661 a wealthy businessman has a hidden church built on the upper floor of his house. The City of Amsterdam and the Protestant Church know this, but no action is taken. Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder is now a museum.
