The four star hotel Die Port van Cleve is housed in a beautiful 18th century building which has been completely renovated to provide a full range of modern facilities. The hotel's perfectly central location, on the site of the original Heineken Brewery, allows guests to experience a real Dutch atmosphere with many of the city's main attractions on its doorstep.

Additional Features
Modern and spacious guest facilities at the hotel are provided by 112 rooms and there are also Junior suites and a Presidential Suite available. All rooms feature private bathroom, cable and pay-to-view TV, direct dial telephone and hair dryer. Non-smoking rooms and those with the additional facilities of mini bar, trouser press and modem connection are available on request. Conference facilities for up to 45 people are provided by the genuine Regentenzaal hall, complete with old wooden beams and a warm and friendly atmosphere. For smaller meetings of up to 12 people, the Junior suites and the Presidential suite are available.

Area Description
The hotel Die Port van Cleve is situated in the centre of Amsterdam near Dam Square. It has easy access to many of the city's main attractions with Rembrandt's Square and the Floating Flower Market within walking distance.

The hotel provides a full range of traditional Dutch and European cuisine in its restaurants and bar. In Brasserie de Poort diners can try the famous numbered steaks, complete with their own certificate. Genuine Delft Blue tiles give Bodega De Blauwe Parade a traditional Dutch atmosphere. In the "De Hooiberg" bar, guests can relax and watch all Amsterdam and it's tourists from all over the world stroll by. Breakfast is included in our rate.

Local Attractions
Amsterdam is a lively, bustling city, the centre of which is just the right size to be able to explore on foot or on one of the many bicycles that can be hired, cycling is a Dutch national past time. There are a number of museums worth a visit, Rijksmuseum is the country's top art museum and the place to go to see old masters. The nearby Van Gogh museum houses nearly 200 of the artist's paintings. The most famous building in Amsterdam is Anne Frankhuis which attracts attracts over half a million tourists each year, it was here that Anne Frank wrote her famous diaries whilst hiding during the Second World War. A boat trip on the many canals is a good way to see Amsterdam and it is from here that you can really appreciate how picturesque the city is, with its tall, narrow houses houses, imposing arched bridges and the fabulous boathouses which line the canals.

Location Description
The hotel Die Port van Cleve is located in Amsterdam. It is 19 km from Schipol airport and the Connexxion Airport shuttle bus which runs to and from the airport stops at the hotel. The central train station is nearby. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and a regular tram service operates throughout the city.
